ACFT Calculator
Estimate Army Combat Fitness Test scoring.
The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) replaced the legacy APFT as the Army's official fitness test of record, measuring combat readiness across six demanding events worth a maximum of 600 points. The ACFT calculator takes your unit type, core exercise preference, and performance across all six events — then returns your total score instantly.
The ACFT score calculator is a military fitness scoring tool that estimates your Army Combat Fitness Test score based on your selected unit type, core event, and performance across six events. It applies the ACFT's standardized scoring to return a total score out of 600 — helping soldiers assess readiness against their unit's passing threshold.
What Is the ACFT?
The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) is the physical fitness test of record for the U.S. Army, designed to assess a soldier's readiness for combat by measuring strength, endurance, and agility. It became the official test of record in October 2022, replacing the older Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT). Unlike the APFT, the ACFT is scored on a 600-point scale — 100 points per event — and applies age- and gender-neutral standards.
ACFT Six Events
3-Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL) — lower body and core strength
Standing Power Throw (SPT) — explosive power and coordination
Hand-Release Push-Up (HRP) — upper body muscular endurance
Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC) — anaerobic endurance and agility
Leg Tuck (LTK) or Plank (PLK) — core strength and endurance
Two-Mile Run (2MR) — aerobic cardiovascular endurance
How the ACFT Score Calculator Works
Goal Section Inputs
Unit type — default: Significant (also: Heavy, Moderate)
During the test I perform a... — default: Leg tuck (also: Plank)
Scores Inputs
Deadlift — maximum weight lifted for 3 reps (unit: kg)
Standing power throw — distance the medicine ball is thrown (unit: m)
Hand-release push-up — total reps completed in 2 minutes (/per 2 min)
Sprint, drag and carry — total time to complete the event (min/sec)
Leg tuck — total reps completed (or switch to Plank time in Goal section)
Two-mile run — total run time (min/sec)
Results
Score — auto-calculated total ACFT score (points out of 600)
How to Use the ACFT Calculator — Step by Step
Example: Significant Unit, Leg Tuck
Step 1: Set Unit type = Significant, Core event = Leg tuck. Step 2: Enter Deadlift weight — for example, 90 kg. Step 3: Enter Standing power throw distance — for example, 8.5 m. Step 4: Enter Hand-release push-ups in 2 minutes — for example, 35 reps. Step 5: Enter Sprint, drag and carry time — for example, 1 min 50 sec. Step 6: Enter Leg tuck reps — for example, 5 reps. Step 7: Enter Two-mile run time — for example, 16 min 30 sec.
The calculator applies standardized scoring to each event and returns your total score out of 600 instantly.
ACFT Events Overview Table
Event | Abbreviation | Unit | What It Measures |
|---|---|---|---|
3-Rep Max Deadlift | MDL | kg | Lower body and core strength |
Standing Power Throw | SPT | m | Explosive power and coordination |
Hand-Release Push-Up | HRP | reps/2 min | Upper body muscular endurance |
Sprint-Drag-Carry | SDC | min/sec | Anaerobic endurance and agility |
Leg Tuck / Plank | LTK / PLK | reps / min:sec | Core strength and endurance |
Two-Mile Run | 2MR | min/sec | Aerobic cardiovascular endurance |
Note: Maximum score is 600 points — 100 points per event. Passing thresholds vary by unit type: Heavy, Significant, or Moderate.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum ACFT score to pass?
The minimum passing score varies by unit type — Heavy, Significant, or Moderate — with each having different thresholds per event. Select your unit type in the calculator to see scores evaluated against your specific standard.
What happens if you fail 2 ACFT tests?
Failing two consecutive ACFT assessments can result in administrative action, including flagging, which may affect promotions, assignments, and reenlistment eligibility. Soldiers are typically given a remediation period between failures to improve their fitness.
What are the 6 ACFT events?
The six events are the 3-Rep Max Deadlift (MDL), Standing Power Throw (SPT), Hand-Release Push-Up (HRP), Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC), Leg Tuck or Plank (LTK/PLK), and Two-Mile Run (2MR). Each event is worth a maximum of 100 points for a total possible score of 600.
What is the difference between Leg Tuck and Plank in the ACFT?
Both are core endurance events — soldiers choose one based on ability. The Leg Tuck measures dynamic core strength through hanging knee raises, while the Plank measures static core endurance through a timed hold. Select your preferred event in the Goal section of the calculator.
